Transit in the Sky: March 2024

1st - 6th 

Venus, Mars in Capricorn The first half of the month is dominated by an exalted Mars in Capricorn, with Venus for the first week bringing focus and creativity into the feminine earthy realm of Capricorn. Capricorn's practical and structured qualities make it easy for Mars to express his fiery masculine energies; Mars benefits from being next to Venus. Venus brings an elegant sensibility to the actions of Mars. However, Venus is harmed by Mars's influence as a malefic planet, so there can be some agitation and conflicts of interest with others at this time. Wherever Capricorn is in your chart will give you clues into what area of life will be affected by this transit. 

Sun, Saturn, Mercury in Aquarius Saturn is cruising through his sign of Aquarius and has now joined Sun and Mercury. This is a powerful combination of ego and intellect. Now is a great time to formulate confident ideas that you may share to help others. Aquarius is all about servitude and taking the focus away from self and putting it onto others.

7th-8th 

Moon Mars with Capricorn This can be a tense moon transit. Be careful with harsh or negative thoughts over the next several days. Turn the malefic energy of Mars and Saturn into self-development and try to create a new positive daily habit or small ritual that brings peace of mind rather than taking out frustrations on others, which may be easier. 

Mercury joins Rahu in Pisces. Our ideas and communication can feel out of the ordinary during this 2.5-week transit. Watch out for this, especially when the Moon transits through on the 11th and 12th. Try to avoid triggers that can become a cycle of negative thoughts. Rahu brings power to Mercury, and Mercury adds intelligence and attention to detail to Rahu's powerful nature.

Venus joins Saturn and the Sun. Venus brings some much-needed love into the realm of Aquarius. Saturn and Sun are enemies, while Saturn is firm in his sign. Sun is opposite its own house of Leo, so generosity towards others is supported at this time.

10th is the New Moon in Aquarius with Saturn and Venus. Plant the seeds for new ideas that will change the world, help others, and bring humanity towards a more peaceful existence. Sun and Moon, joined in Purva Bhadrapada, show when we stand up for those who lack strength, it is with integrity rather than pride. 

11th - 12th Moon with Rahu and Mercury in Pisces Pay close attention to your dreams; powerful downloads and guidance could come through subconsciously while the mind is receptive and activated for these couple of days.

13th - 14th Moon Jupiter in Aries Bold optimism is amplified with emotions and opinions during this time. Exalted Mars as ruler of Aries adds additional intensity to this idea. 

14th Sun enters Pisces with Rahu, and Mercury Eclipse season is upon us. Sun in Pisces can be a devotional time, opposite spiritual Ketu and flexible intellect of Mercury. The mind is receptive and open to new ideas. Pisces is showing the end of a cycle, letting go where it is needed, which can be seen by what house Pisces occupies in your natal chart.

16th Mars joins Venus and Saturn in Aquarius. Mars is no longer accepting its own sign, Aries, and is now under the rule of Saturn with Saturn. There must be discipline with your actions; courage is needed to avoid feeling trapped with worry and fear. Relationships will be impacted during this transit, with Venus joining two malefic. Being kind and understanding relationships are being tested for strength.

26th Mercury joins Jupiter in Aries. Communication and travel are expanded at this time, and new ideas could be coming in left and right, but Saturn's 3rd aspect of Aries will want you to slow down and not jump to conclusions. Careful not to let the Martian energy of Aries turn great ideas into pompous opinions. 

Moon enters Scorpio late on the 29th, around 10 pm CST. Debilitated Moon is a great time to not take on too much mental load or responsibilities if you can help it. Take the time to clear out a space for something new and exciting to make its way into your life. 

7 pm CST on the 31st, the last day of the month, Venus joins Rahu, Sun (and Neptune) in Pisces, leaving Saturn and Mars alone in Aquarius. Heading into April, we end the month with some new beautiful Venus energy exalted in Pisces. Venus on the eclipse axis will bring change to relationships, spouses, and business partners. Avoid the desire to be overly carefree, spending days escaping into a fantasy about what could be rather than being methodical and zooming in on an issue, trying to make it better. The idea is to find a balance between the two.
