The full Moon in Sagittarius is known as Guru Poornima. Poornima is the 16th tithi, a lunar day when the Moon and Sun are opposed. As the moon, our mind, is fully illuminated by the Sun's light, it is a time to reflect on the teachers in our lives, our gurus. Jupiter is known as the Guru and is the great teacher in our chart.
