Karma is your Love Language
Why can’t I find love?
What if I never do?
Am I doing something wrong?
Does everyone else just… figure it out?
Should I try harder?
Or stop trying altogether?
How do I even know if it’s real?
What if I open up… and get hurt again?
What if I never get to feel that kind of love?

If these questions keep you up at night, you probably already know that love isn’t always enough to sustain a relationship.

At some point, those fuzzy feelings fade, and what’s left are things like effort, compromise, and constantly gauging whether or not you feel appreciated.

What most people don’t realize is that this entire cycle, the spark, the struggle, the commitment, is written into your natal chart.

It’s part of your karma.

In this post, I’ll show you how to use your Vedic horoscope to uncover your real love language, not just how you express love, but how you block it, how you resist it, and most importantly, how you grow into it.

We’re going to explore a very specific part of your chart, and no, it’s not all about Venus.

Sure, Venus is the planet of relationships.

Where she is placed in your chart says a lot about what you’re drawn to, how you express affection, and the type of connection that feels natural to you.

But that’s not the whole story.

We’re going to examine the 7th house, the house of committed partnerships, the spouse, and long-term love.

But before we go there… we need to take a step back.

Actually, two steps back.

Because in reality, love doesn’t start with commitment.

It starts with attraction. With desire. With romance.

And then it moves through work, friction, and resistance before it ever becomes a real partnership.

That’s the 5th house. That’s the 6th house. And then comes the 7th.

See, your chart is just a map of time. It shows your subconscious patterns and cycles that shape your experiences.

So let’s start at the beginning, with the 5th house.

This is where love begins.

The spark. The butterflies. The feeling that someone just gets you.

It’s the honeymoon phase, attraction, charm, connection, excitement.

Of course, I should mention that in some cultures,  not every relationship starts with falling in love, and that’s okay.

This pattern still shows how connection within you unfolds, whether the spark comes first or later.

Often, when I do client readings, the person has no idea how different the 5th house is from the other houses in the chart.

It's a playful house where we have fun, create,  and imagine a world that we want to live in, which often means it's where we form blind spots.

This is the house where you fall in love.

But falling in love... isn’t the same as staying in love.

The 5th house shows what draws you in.

Who you’re naturally attracted to.

And how do you express affection when everything still feels light and easy?

The planet ruling this house tells you what feels good in love.

What lights you up?

What kind of romance makes your heart say yes?

In astrology, there is a planetary court.

Where the sun is the King, the Moon is the Queen, Mars is the Warrior, Mercury is the Prince, Jupiter is the Guru, Venus is the Princess, and Saturn is the Servant.

These are archetypes, personifying the planets, that help you see how their influence is in your chart.

5th House: Romance and Attraction

This is where you fall in love. But love, as we know, isn’t enough.

Keywords: Love, desire, creativity, initial spark, dating, charm.

Significance: The 5th house shows who you are drawn to and how you express affection.

It’s the "honeymoon" phase—flirtation, connection, joy.

The planets here show what feels good in love and what excites you about others.

6th House: Work, Conflict, and Effort

This is where relationships are tested. It's the place most people avoid, yet it's the very passageway to long-term partnership.

Keywords: Effort, service, adjustment, irritation, friction, repair, routines.

Significance: This house symbolizes the effort required to maintain a relationship. It reveals:

The kind of problems or imbalances that arise

Where ego meets resistance

The sacrifices and small everyday actions are required to evolve love into a partnership.

Shadow Side: If one resists or avoids the lessons of the 6th house, they get "stuck" in cycles of failed or strained relationships.

7th House: Partnership and Commitment

This is where real love matures. Not just passion, but presence. Not just feelings, but vows.

Keywords: Agreement, compromise, reflection, spouse, legal bond, maturity.

Significance: This house shows the kind of partner you are ultimately meant to be with, not just who you desire (5th), but who you can grow with.

Ruler or Planets Here: Indicate what traits must be embraced for a committed, lasting union.

Putting It All Together

If you're attracting people (5th) but not committing (7th), look to your 6th house.

The 6th house reveals your pattern of resistance: Is it control? (Capricorn), Chaos? (Gemini), Overgiving? (Pisces), Judgment? (Virgo)

Your ability to honor the 6th house (do the work, not avoid the discomfort) is the bridge from dating to devotion.
