October Astrology report includes the placement of the planets in signs and their transits this month.
Sun in Virgo
Our vitality and stamina in Virgo bring a focus on health, service, and practical improvement. It is a time to refine our daily routines, purify our processes, and pay attention to the details of our physical well-being. We gain awareness of where we need to work hard and where we need to go with the flow.
Mars in Scorpio
Mars delivers strength in Scorpio, intensifying our passions and deepening our drive. This transition can bring powerful transformations if we confront the internal resistance to change.
Mercury in Scorpio
Our thinking mind looks for a deeper meaning in Scorpio and contemplates the hidden forces that operate under the surface of our perception. Fears and uncertainties may arise as we sort through the information and learn what to discard and what to believe.
Jupiter slowing down
After Jupiter enters Cancer, he begins to slow down before turning retrograde next month. Growth and expansion are concentrated in our emotional connections. We may be questioning our beliefs and teachers.
Venus Debilitated in Virgo
Venus struggles to experience joy when in Virgo. Relationships feel more practical than romantic during this time, but it is also an auspicious transit for bringing beauty into our daily lives and work.
Saturn Sun Opposition
This challenging aspect reflects responsibility and limitation on our sense of self. Saturn in Pisces brings structure to our confusion, while the opposition of the Sun in Virgo tries to purify how we process this information.
Rahu in Aquarius/ Ketu Venus
In conjunction with Venus, the nodal axis creates a push-pull between our desire for respect and our need to express a truthful identity. This transit brings pressure and change to relationships unaligned with our values.
Uranus Retrograde
The planet of sudden change and innovation turns inward, prompting us to revolutionize our inner world. This is a time for breaking free from internal limitations and old attachments. As Uranus begins the journey back into Aries, our sense of individuality is again under review.

Transits for October
October marks a turning point in the year. Sun debilitates in Libra. This is a shift from the intense energies of the recent eclipses, although their effects continue to linger. We also have a debilitated Venus, which impacts relationships and tests our patience. While Jupiter slowly changes signs and Pluto's retrograde finally comes to an end. We start the month with a Full Moon in Pisces, and close it out with a New Lunar cycle in Libra. In this video, I'll go over all the dates so you can better observe these shifts. And where these energies are impacting you based on your Ascendant.
October 7 Full Moon in Pisces Revati
The Moon reaches its peak brightness on this Full Moon in the Sidereal sign of Pisces, and opposes the Sun in the sky, which is in Virgo right now. This midway point in the Virgo Lunar cycle is now time to reflect on how we choose to let a little chaos into our lives. Pisces is associated with the 12th house of surrender and solitude. But if you are in a state of resistance, this transit could bring expenses and isolation.
Pisces is a place of no boundaries, no rules, no responsibility. It's the house where you are carefree and nonchalant, or it can be the house where you are trying to escape the responsibilities of your Virgo house.
October 5 - 14 - Pluto stations to turn Direct at 7 degrees U.Ash/Capricorn until May 16, 2026, at 11 degrees Shravana/Capricorn
Your house of structure and action
Pluto has been retrograde since May 4 of this year, and the influence and energy of a retrograde planet is passive and less direct. However, now that the planet of generational power, control, and transformation is no longer retrograde, its energies will be much more active. And your Capricorn house is going to feel this shift.
Pluto has been in Sidereal Capricorn since December 30, 2020, dramatically transforming systems, government, public reputations, and people's ambitions. The alternating direct and retrograde movements of Pluto as it transits through your Capricorn house are like a demolition and a remodel happening simultaneously. By the end of this transit in 2039, your Capricorn house will be completely transformed.
The qualities of Capricorn shape the look and feel of Pluto's control. Capricorn is an Earth sign characterized by a grounded and steady nature that can sometimes feel resistant to change. It symbolizes a feminine energy that reflects inward, leading to hesitation and a focus on internal processes. Ruled by Saturn, Capricorn operates slowly and methodically, often dealing with themes of fear and responsibility in the 10th house of career and public persona.
The Cancer/Capricorn axis highlights the alignment (or misalignment) between one's actions and their heart, questioning whether public representations truly reflect their inner beliefs.
Aries – Cancer 4th house | Capricorn 10th house
Taurus – Cancer 3rd house | Capricorn 9th house
Gemini – Cancer 2nd house | Capricorn 8th house
Cancer – Cancer 1st house | Capricorn 7th house
Leo – Cancer 12th house | Capricorn 6th house
Virgo – Cancer 11th house | Capricorn 5th house
Libra – Cancer 10th house | Capricorn 4th house
Scorpio – Cancer 9th house | Capricorn 3rd house
Sagittarius – Cancer 8th house | Capricorn 2nd house
Capricorn – Cancer 7th house | Capricorn 1st house
Aquarius – Cancer 6th house | Capricorn 12th house
Pisces – Cancer 5th house | Capricorn 11th house
Ultimately, this axis underscores the importance of emotional connections to your ideas and their manifestation in your public persona.
October 9 Venus Decilitates in Virgo
Venus is our planet of happiness and ease, so when she is in her least favorite sign and position of debilitation, our capacity to compromise and be agreeable lessens dramatically.
When Venus is in Virgo, our relationships feel it. This planet of love and beauty feels out of place in the sign of hard work and duty. During this transit, we might struggle to compromise and feel less appreciated in relationships. Expectations and tensions rise as we become ingrained in our routines. Remember, this period can teach us a great deal about overcoming obstacles and finding our balance by understanding our capacity for control and surrender.
And Virgo is all about overcoming a problem. Its ruler, Mercury, uses logic and reason to get into the details and really figure out how to make something systematic. Just like a routine, Virgo is where order and process take effort. It's really the house of due diligence. Doing what needs to be done but without overdoing it. There is a sweet spot where a little chaos leaves room for creativity and new ideas to emerge.
Venus is the karaka of relationships, so when she is debilitated, the people in our lives can become a real issue. At least that's how we may feel during this brief but month-long transit. Venus is the planet of what we want and how we feel appreciated, so when she is in Virgo, that capacity to share and sacrifice comes with a lot more stimulation. We may be more demanding in relationships as we start to feel unappreciated for our efforts. We may be less willing to compromise because we have already sacrificed more than we prefer.
October 17 - November 16 Sun Debilitated in Libra
The Sun is our Soul, our strength, our confidence, and liveliness. The Sun exalts in Aries, where all these factors have the capacity to thrive; however, opposing Aries is Libra, where the Sun is debilitated, resulting in a shift from confidence to uncertainty. Strength shifts from the self and onto the focus of others.
Libra represents a balance of compromise and shared existence, which contrasts with the concepts of individuality and the self. The light of the Soul cannot fully shine where there are the energies of compromise and the need to prioritize balance, rather than self-serving actions.
Aries Aries 1st house | Libra 7th house
Taurus Aries 12th house | Libra 6th house
Gemini Aries 11th house | Libra 5th house
Cancer Aries 10th house | Libra 4th house
Leo Aries 9th house | Libra 3rd house
Virgo Aries 8th house | Libra 2nd house
Libra Aries 7th house | Libra 1st house
Scorpio Aries 6th house | Libra 12th house
Sagittarius Aries 5th house | Libra 11th house
Capricorn Aries 4th house | Libra 10th house
Aquarius Aries 3rd house | Libra 9th house
Pisces Aries 2nd house | Libra 8th house
October 18 - November 11 Jupiter Direct in Cancer
Jupiter is in the miracle degree and moving very slow as it is about to turn retrograde in about 3 weeks. As he approaches his retrograde date, he slows down almost to a stop, which is called Stationing in astrology. And when a planet is retrograde, it only appears to be moving backward because of how close it is to Earth. Earth appears to be moving faster, but from our perspective, the retrograde planet will start to move backward through the zodiac, retracing its journey from the previous few months.
Jupiter represents our moral compass and beliefs, and these energies are very concentrated during this time. Jupiter will be moving slowly on the cusp of Gemini and Cancer.
I've made a video about it, which you can view here. I give a mini report for each Ascendant, based on where Cancer and Gemini are in your chart.
October 21 New Moon Chitra Libra
A new Lunar cycle begins with this debilitated Sun in Libra, bringing awareness to our relationships. Libra is the hidden layer in our chart where we make sacrifices through commitment and learn to share the best parts of ourselves with someone else. The Libra/Aries axis is where the projection of our individuality is reflected through the relationships we work hard to maintain and cultivate. October 27 - Mars in Scorpio
Mars is the ruling planet of Scorpio, the 8th sign of the Zodiac. Therefore, Mars is strong in this placement. As the planet of war, action, and courage, Mars can be intense and emotionally impulsive in this placement.
Scorpio is the feminine expression of Mars. It is a fixed water sign that deals with mystery, occult knowledge, emotional attachments, and fear. Scorpio is like still waters that run deep; there is intensity and secrecy here. Scorpio opposes Taurus, showing where the Soul is dependent on others, which can create insecurities and self-esteem issues. Taurus is the sign of security and stability, while Scorpio is the fear of losing that sense of comfort. And peace.
Scorpio is associated with the 8th house, which is often linked to death and sudden transformation; therefore, it is considered a powerful and transformative house. It can mean death in both the physical and metaphorical senses. Tragedies and breakdowns are often associated with the 8th house. Accidents and unexpected events can also occur.
As with most of the houses and signs, the more you resist the change that is trying to occur, the more challenges it will be to evolve and grow.
The house of Scorpio, where it is placed in your chart, reveals a hidden layer where old ideas, desires, and beliefs are transformed or destroyed.
