Scorpio New Moon November 20, 2025

Scorpio New Moon

This Scorpio New Moon starts a new lunar cycle. The Sun entered Scorpio on the 16th, and 4 days late, the Moon conjuncts the Sun to mark the beginning of a new lunar cycle. Unlike the Sun, which represents our confidence and strength, the Moon represents our emotional connections and intuition. And when the two luminaries come together, it signifies a monthly union of our consciousness and mind.

The Moon’s alignment with the Sun is dark. It appears to be invisible in the sky. This symbolizes a complete darkness of the mind. New Moons show us when it's time to be our own source of light.

Rather than reflecting the light of the Sun as seen during a Full moon, the mind must rely on the pure, truthful inspiration of the Sun; therefore, this is a perfect time for setting intentions, making a wish, and creating new long- and short-term goals. Especially related to your Scorpio/Taurus Axis.

These two signs are always opposed to each other in the chart.

Taurus and Scorpio are associated with the 2nd and 8th house, or 2/8 axis of attachments, both physical and emotional. It also addresses being in our comfort zone, the desire for comfort, and the fear of losing that sense of comfort, whether it is financial stability, access to food, or a warm place to sleep at night. But each ascendant has the Taurus Scorpio axis in a different house, and the house will show where this energy is showing up for you.

This cycle is in Scorpio, so your Scorpio house is a power house. It reveals where you are deeply and emotionally attached, holds your darkest fears, and is also a sign of the greatest transformation; however, it typically manifests in the form of a sudden or traumatic event. At least it feels that way in our minds, because we choose to hold on to what feels good, even if it doesn't support our growth. So letting go is the biggest lesson of the Scoprio house, where control is rooted in fear, and power comes from letting go of those fears.

The sign opposing your Scorpio house is Taurus, and like all axes, the opposing house is the opposite energy, but the two share some common threads. And it's embracing these commonalities that help bring balance into these areas of life, which is what we all ultimately strive for, because balance brings stability, and stability brings peace.

Scopio and Taurus are both feminine signs, so allowing that flow to happen, being patient, and internalizing your experiences so that the emotions flow through you rather than getting trapped and feeling like you're trapped by your own thoughts.

These two signs also have a fixed modality, which gives a preference for holding on to and maintaining what you already have rather than starting something new, and it means there is no flexibility to do both. The lack of adaptability to a fixed axis means there is a tendency to get stuck; however, the positive side of this modality is that it offers the greatest growth potential.

A fixed sign is like taking care of a plant you’ve had for years, bringing it in during the winter, and keeping it alive until spring. At the same time, a movable sign lets the plant die because it looks forward to planting new seeds in the spring. And since we're comparing modalities, A dual sign does both.
