Conflict between compromise and control

Pluto and Mars have a transformative nature, often through the sudden or unexpected breakdown and destruction of something. And these two planets are about to align in a perfect square formation. Moon will also conjoin with Mars, acting as a trigger for this square, bringing emotions into the mix.  This square began on September 13 when Mars entered Libra. And intensifies as Mars approaches the 7-degree mark, where it will form a perfect 90-degree angle with Pluto. After this intense aspect, the energies will begin to wane on September 24,

But until then, we can expect the effects of this aspect to present themselves during this time.

Squares are considered a “hard” aspect, meaning they create conflict, tension, and challenge.

Unlike an opposition, where energy is pulled in opposite directions, a square creates pressure from the side, like two forces grinding against each other. Mars and Pluto are forced into interaction, but not in a smooth or cooperative way.

This tension can feel frustrating, but it’s also energizing. Squares push for action, adjustment, and growth. Without them, things might remain fixed or stagnant. To get through this, there must be a conscious use of power, rather than repression and explosive reaction. Channeling Mars through physical discipline, such as yoga, martial arts, exercise, or just dancing your heart out, really helps release that pressure without turning destructive. Since this is a Libra–Capricorn square, we want to balance harmony with responsibility.
